The Eversons are Headin' Overseas - Japanese EP & Farewell Show

The Eversons have a whole bunch of news to share with you.

They just got back from a tour of Japan, their first overseas tour. With their first album available on a kool indie label over there they discovered they actually have a pretty good following in Japan.  For some often outrageous tour pictures head over to their Facebook page.

As part of the tour the Eversons released a Japanese-language EP by their alter ego, a fictional cartoon band called 'The Emilys'. You can download the EP for free / pay what you like over at bandcamp or soundcloud

Check out some of the very cool animated video clips from the ep - all in Japanese.

Incidentally - I'm Just A Ghost is a cover of california bedroom / garage musician and artist Joe Astle known as Boa Constrictors - his albums are all available for free and are worth checking out if you like the sound of a Daniel Johnston Beach Boys Pixies hybrid.

And finally, the Eversons have announced that they're moving to London. They head off in about a week, so go and farewell them at their last New Zealand show this Friday at Portland Public House - also playing will be Lil' Chief band Voom!

  15. The use of Android apps like InstaUp demonstrates how technology can enhance engagement, much like the TwinSpires Horse Racing Podcast provides detailed analysis on the Kentucky Derby and NFL insights. Just as Android tools help users expand their reach and interaction, Derek Simon’s podcast helps listeners engage more deeply with horse racing. Both show how the right platform can boost audience involvement and experience.

  16. Use the copy-paste trick between 2D and 3D worlds by selecting a 2D shape, pressing Ctrl+C, switching to a 3D view, and pasting with Ctrl+V—this lifts the flat shape into 3D space as a decal that automatically conforms to the surface you paste it on. For reverse operations, copy a 3D object, paste it into a 2D canvas, and use Magic Select to isolate it as a flat image. This bidirectional workflow lets you create complex compositions mixing dimensions without rebuilding elements from scratch. Paint

  17. Terraria's NPC happiness system is a 1.4 game-changer that turns housing from decoration into strategy. Stack them right and you unlock pylons—biome-specific teleporters that cost 7-10 gold each, creating a fast-travel network that cuts world traversal time by 80%. Assign the Nurse to the Desert with the Arms Dealer for cheap healing potions, pair the Goblin Tinkerer with the Mechanic in Snow for 40% reforge discounts, and place the Demolitionist with the Tavernkeep underground for bomb bargains. My personal setup saves 50 platinum per reforge session—money that goes straight into buying Leaf Wings from the Witch Doctor. Never house the Guide with the Merchant; the Guide hates crowded Forest biomes and jacks up prices if he's unhappy. Use the happiness meter in the NPC dialogue box to gauge placement; green numbers mean discounts, red means you're bleeding gold for no reason. Terraria game Download

  18. Wiring transforms Terraria from a sandbox into a digital engineering simulator. Timers (1-second, 3-second, 5-second) activate traps, pumps, and actuators automatically, letting you build AFK farms that generate money, souls, and biome keys while you're offline. Connect dart traps to timers for a 1-second kill zone, wire statues (slime, jellyfish, crab) to spawn infinite resources, and use actuators to create hidden doors or retractable lava pools. The hoik glitch lets you teleport items across the world using sloped platforms and dummy ghosts—essential for item sorting systems. Build a target dummy wired to a timer for DPS testing; if your new weapon can't hit 2k damage per second pre-Plantera, your loadout is wrong. Pressure plates in your base can trigger speakers that play boss music when intruders spawn, turning your house into a security system. latest version
